Help Us pick a TITLE

Our movie is about a Kid you gets kidnapped and the kidnapper(played sadly by yours truly) gives the brother of the kid 24hours to do everything that comes in his mind. HE WILL BE WATCHING!!! The only thing is I can't find a good title!!

Just to let you know the movie will be filmed over the Summer of 05 and fall of 05 and will be shot half with my 5 yo JVC cam(NOT PD150) and the DVX i am earning for! :)

Open until Jan.8th 2005

Shouldn't you be having sleepovers and out killing ants with magnifying glasses?

And how about you stop alluding to this DVX you're going to get. I tell my girlfriend that I'm saving up for a Porsche but it don't mean shiite. When you finally get it drop a line.

We know you want the DVX, we know you have a PD150. No it doesn't have progressive scan, yes it's interlaced, yes it's a good camera. Give it a rest dude.

Danny Boy, good luck with the project. I still think you should start small and just make a 10 min. parody of your favorite movie (28 Days Later). Copy the look and feel. Mimic it. That's the best way to learn. Then, years from now, create your own style.

Do it, do it!

Just to let you guys know i have a 1chip camera that shoots true 30p well two right now because of the XL1 My bro gave me to mess with. i have more than that PD150. I'm just borrowing the PD150 I don't own it! The camera we are using is the JVC GRDVM90u. It has a prog.scan ccd in it and we are using that!

I believe Danny is sincerely trying to atone for his DVXUser sins and genuinely wants to be part of the community.

Keep in mind Mike the name (and maybe a real cool one) can pop in your head while filming. No rush for a name. Plan production...

It's cool that you're filmmaking, but don't wait for a DVX to get crackin', and certainly don't wait for one of us to choose a title for you, take some initiative.

I'm ragging on you because you make it sound like the DVX is a toy. It's not. It's a tool, and a pretty expensive piece of equipment. Right now you have about three adequate tools in your arsenal for making kickass homemade movies. Getting a fourth won't help you along unless you stop treating them like toys.

You've moaned about the PD150 in just about every thread you've thrown up here. And we keep telling you it's a great camera. You seem really fixated on progressive scan and bent against interlacing. What does that have to do with the story you're gonna tell? How about becoming a kickass filmmaker for yourself instead of trying to impress a couple guys on a forum?

Like everyone said, plan production, get out there and shoot with what you got, and build your craft.

ok issac my bad :D Thanks for the info i just have one question, when i start my production i want that fast feel dawn of the dead(remake) had and i was wondering how to do that :)
