help striking my HMI...

I got my mitts on an old Desisti HMI PAR (yes with the old style lamp). Problem is I'm not sure how to strike it. The ballast has red green and blue switches, and the head has 2 momentary switches labeled 1 and 0. I can take an educated guess on it, but I'd rather not damage the fixture, or myself.
Can anyone give me a quick tutorial?

Plug everything it in and hit the switch you think is labeled "1" (it's not actually labeled with the numbers 1 and 0, those are closed and open circuit symbols).
 
You could use those too, doesn't make a difference. The blue one is probably a ground tester so it won't do anything but light up when you push it as long as the ballast has an earth connection.
