Help! Slow motion shake!

Post us a clip

What were you shooting this in? 60i? 24p? 24pa?

It sounds to me like a field problem, if you're sure there's no vertical shaking at normal speed. For viewing both normal and accelerated footage, it's important to make sure your preview window is set to 100% so you can see all of the fields.

Right-click the clip and play with the field options. Try reversing field order, or always deinterlacing. If you shot this 24p (not 24pa) you might be in a bit of trouble, I don't think that speeds up very well (because of the way it has to distribute across the 60i frames - you're better off using 24pa and working on a true 24fps timeline. One thing you can also do if you want slight slow motion is shoot 30p, export it as a still sequence, and reimported as 24p).

Anyway let us know if this helps

hey ummm im also having some field problems...now provided im not using a dvx....but heres a screenshot of what it looks like..im using a sony pd100a. theres always 2 frames of fine footage and 2 frames of lined footage...repeat..its not so obvious when not increasing contrast on the stock footage...but when u play with the colour grading ...levels and the other settings...it quickly becomes apparent and is quite annoying...

the camera is 60i and i dont know if that has anything to do with it but i run it through after effects after and through magic bullet for 24p mimic..this is after cc btw

look at some of these screenshots (very obvious when u click to make them fullscreen)

this one is fine(i think)

now the next frame is not

now here is the sequence of 2 good frames and 2 lined frames

FINE 1st FRAME

UGLY 2nd FRAME

UGLY 3rd FRAME

FINE 4th FRAME

and this is with any footage from that camcorder....i think its the way that premiere or ae interpretes the footage maybe? any suggestions?

sorry for not creating a new thead :|
