HELP: Slow Motion PROBLEM Using 5D Footage In FCP 7 ?????!!!!!

I have some 5D, 24 frame, 1920x1080, footage clips in my project that i need to put slow motion on. When i do slow it down, the slow motion looks "streaky"

Is there anything i can do to get a smooth non streaky slow motion look within the fcp program??

I think i read on here somewhere once that there is a way but i cant remember now of course :p

thanks Guysss!

You shot at 24p and you're trying to do slow motion? You'll be very limited in terms of what you can do, unless you get a 3rd party plugin like Twixtor (and I'm not even sure how much that would help, I've never used it). In terms of a streaky look, are you referring to the motion blur becoming more noticeable? FCP has a stop motion blur filter, I have no idea how well it works though.

Make sure frame blending is off. Outside of that, good luck. You cant really slow down 24p that well. If you want good slow mo, you are going to want to shoot in 60p, although that is not possible for your 5d. You can shoot in 30p and slow it down a little, but not much.

Also make sure that your shutter speed is up higher when doing slowmo. That will decrease the motion blur associated with slowing down footage; at least double your frame rate to use in slowmo.
