I captured my footage into a 24p project even though I shot it in 30 p. (this was by mistake) I can go back and re-edit later if needed but need to deliver the video now to the company to display on the web.
My project settings read:
Timebase: 23.976 frames/sec (does not allow me to change)
Display format 24fts timecode (but the drop down box allows me to change to 30 frames non-drop frame)
When I am exporting it allows me to render out as 24p advanced or DV NTSC.
Of course when I select DV NTSC I can also select 30 frames a second.
So what would be the best way to render out and then to compress for the web?
Do I render out in 24p or 30p?
Do I compress at 24p or 30p?
I just need to know how all this affects my picture quality. I did try rendering out in 24p and there is no noticable motion stutter even though the camera is moving around fairly fast.
Like I said, I can go back and re-edit later but need to know the best way of delivering the video I have not so it has the best quality.
thanks!
