In my 10 min short film I have hundreds of cuts. If I needed to cut a clip out of the timeline... what is the most efficiant way to select the other half of the clips to pull in together to fill the gap. I can't keep going through and hand selecting all of the damn things individually while holing ctrl it's getting really frikin annoying. HELP!!!!

click the far most frame, and then hold down shift, and click the other end of the timeline that you want to select. that should do the trick. :)

you can also try the selection edit tool, two over from the normal edit tool on the top of your screen, and draw a box around all the clips that you want selected.

Press the F key.

No, really. Post-Edit Ripple is what you want.

It's also under the Edit menu, with more options.

F Key? Didn't know that. But yeah, Post -Edit Ripple is the way to go.

However, you have to remember it'll only effect the track where you deleted something, so you MAY want to lock/group as many events together as possible (if you're near done with your edit). From that point, if you want to move one individual clip, instead of ALL the group ones, then just right click on the specific event & choose "remove from group".

Scharky's got a pretty cool one too ... didn't know about that one either. Learned TWO things on here!

Never tried it...haven't had reason...but under the Edit |Post-Edit Ripple menu you have three options, one of which looks like it will affect everything.

I'll check that out ... I've always just clicked the Ripple button on the tool bar, never looking through the actual edit drop down menu. Thanks Dan!

CTRL-SHIFT-F does all of the tracks, including markers and regions. I use this key-combination more than any other!
