HPX 170. I set the camera for 1080i/P. The "jitter frame" is evey 4 frames... and I can't figure out how to remove the extra frame in FCP. How can I fix this?

Use Cinema Tools to BATCH REVERSE TELECINE the footage. Convert to 23.98, not 24.

This happened to a show I was working on too. Just yesterday.

Ryan, sorry I wasn't clear. I shot 24p instead of 24pa. I shot some on P2 media, and the rest on AJA making ProPes 422 files.
Interestingly, I solved the P2 part of my part of my problem by using Premier to convert to mxf media to ProRes 422 files.
The problem I'm working on now is trying to follow Shane's suggestion. The options in the Cinema Tools menu didn't work at default, so I'm testing the various options to see which one is right (AA, BB, or ??).

If you shot 1080p24, then Cinema Tools shouldn't present you with those options. It'd do it automatically. When you are given those options, that is indicative of shooting 29.97 without the 24p flags. I got this when I recorded a 23.98 signal that was fed to a switcher at 29.97, and recorded on a KiPro at 29.97. I had to test the many options until I found the right one. That's what you'll have to do.

Thank you. I'm still learning the terms....my camera has 1080i24p or 1080i24pa. I don't have 24PN for example except in 720 size.

I found the "DD" option worked well on my test clip, and also my 40 minute clip!! Very Happy!!

Thanks for guidance!!

This is such a great website!
