Help..Problems Capturing

Im having some difficulty capturing some old projects I made in college. Most of my projects won't capture. Using a DVX100 B and FCexpress. What is happening is that it starts to capture and then it freezes up. When I press esc. A message comes up and says..

The audio sample rate of one or more of our captured media files does not match the sample rate on your source tape. This may cause the video and audio of these media files to be out of sync. Make sure the audio sample rate of your capture preset matches the sample rate of your tape

I have been looking for some kind of capture settings menu choice but I can't seem to find one. Does anyone know what to do?
Thanks

I've never used Express, so don't know its menus well enough to help you specifically on this one I'm afraid. But I do have to ask, do you know what your filmed the tapes at, audio wise? Did you film them at 32k? Because that error sounds like you're trying to capture at 48k (I would assume the default) and the tapes are perhaps 32k. I have never used the DVX for playback, but I would think if you put it into VCR mode and played the tapes, the onscreen menu should report whether it is 48k or 32k for the audio.

Also, what do you mean by "it freezes up?" Does the capture window simply stop advancing, does the tape stop actually playing (so the timecode numbers stop increasing), and/or does FCP lock up? If its just the capture window, I would log and load a 1 min clip and let it complete (even if it looks frozen). Then look and see what you get from the clip (see if captures the video and audio despite the warning).

Cheers.
