Help! I just finished an edit and am trying to export to quicktime but Premiere Pro 2.0 keeps generating an error saying it can't export. I tried exporting small pieces and those worked, but the longer file, 3.5 minutes long, won't export...any ideas? I'm exporting to Quicktime.

Thanks!

premire and quicktime dont go togher.. i suggest you export as .avi and use a 3rd party to convert to quicktime if you really have to

i've been through it before and i said screw it...lol

this is weird...premiere lets me export portions of the movie to Quicktime, but not the whole thing, and there doesn't seem to be one shot that it doesn't like - it simply doesn't want the whole thing together...
I tried exporting as an AVI and it worked.
I tried exporting a previous project to Quicktime and it worked.
i can't figure this out...any suggestions would be very helpful.
Thanks!

You can export your entire edited timeline sequence using Adobe Media Encoder to the .avi format. Then use a 3rd-party software like Canopus Procoder to transcode the .avi file to .mov one. I think procoder does a great job @ encoding video files.

I realize there a re lots of ways around this, but I want to solve this problem, because my workflow was very smooth using just Premiere before this happened...i think I'm closing in on the problem. To be continued...

Well, there seems to be zero rhyme or reason to it...I've tried creating new projects, then exporting movies of different lengths. Over a certain length doesn't want to export, but the maximum length of the file is different for each project.

Should I reinstall the software? Any hardware servicing i should try? I tried defragmenting...

Adobe's support line is useless and I just ended up on hold for 20 minutes.

Please! Has anyone seen this before?!

I have had problems like this also with premiere so I just render out uncompressed avi and convert with Procoder also.

I have QT Pro already...the Adobe people said to reinstall it, so I'll see how that works. If it doesn't I'll reinstall Premiere, and if that doesn't work, well, I'll cross that bridge when I get to it.
