HELP! Plug in camcorder into portable dvd player?

Hello there,

I am in need of some help. I just bought a cinetrek portable dvd player thinking I could plug in my camcorder into it and view live footage from it on the dvd player, you know use it as a monitor. To my horror I was expecting the dvd player to have a simple s-video out I could plug my camcorder into instead it only has 'av in' and 'av out' and a 'coaxial' socket. My camcorder has a s-video out socket. Does anyone know how to connect this up, what sort of cable I would need. It states clearly on the box composite video input/ output. So it must be possible. Help!

Yes it looks like I have to get an extension lead - S-video out to S-video out then a S-video out to av in adapter jack. God knows, I can only hope. I am going to a local electronics shop to see otherwise I will send this thing back. I really want it to work though as to have a large monitor with the footage from my camcorder would be so cool I could really see what I am doing then. I will post back on here with my progress.
