HELP Please!!!

i know this is already on here but i need help!!!
im sure this has been asked before but what r good camera settings i never really went into like the menu to change things so a really good settings ground level chart would help out alot. im shooting on f6 in f6 mode and my blues get real noisy and grainy for some reason even in decent lighting, also if u could help with final cut pro setting cuz i just got that and i wanna 24fps in a 24fps timeline to a 24fps dvd so if u can tell me that process. i understand u can render a lot of results as far as look with the camera and its all personal however if u can give me a ground zero that would be rad. thanx.

you should order the Barry's book, there is a DVD with it and there are many different look and the setting are written with it so you can try them!
But another good way is to play with the settings!

Camera settings are a personal thing... there isn't some "magical" setting to get the best look.. it is however you want your image to look..

as for FCP..

make sure your shooting 24P Advanced mode.. then in the capture settings in the log n capture window, choose DV NTSC 23.98 (Advanced Pulldown removal).

For your timeline. When you create a new sequence, right click(or control click) on the sequence in the browser and choose settings. Make sure the time base is 23.98.

For a 24p DVD... in Compressor make sure you set the frame rate to 24p on either on of the apple presets or make your own.

HELLO THANX FOR UR REPLY BUT WHAT IF I HAVE ANAMORPHIC FOOTAGE, BECAUSE I HAVE ANAMORPHIC SELECTED ON CAPTURE AND ON THE SETTING OF THE SEQUENCE YET MY FOOTAGE STILL ENDS UP WITH BLACK BARS ON THE RIGHT AND LEFT OF THE FOOTAGE IN WINDOW.

Another avatar from TL! Your moving right through them. Theres a guy at another forum with the More Cowbell one, but his user name is Jesus, and at that one, right under the avatar it says "Location:" and his says "everywhere"! I dont know, but to me, when you see his user name and that avatar, and then his location, it just cracks me up. Guess you just have to be there.

Yeah, it's kinda funny that I kept my original avatar for so long. I've only changed it twice, but I guess it stands out since I've established myself with one avatar.

Yessir, I always knew orange = Terry post! But agree with PK, keep this one, it really does make for a little piece of positive emotion upon viewing. BTW, I actually keep the More Cowbell clip on my hard drive for quick viewing pleasure!
