i'm shooting a surfing documentary and need advice on gear to protect my camera on the beach and in the water.
i'm looking at the ewa marine v-1000 for shooting in the water and some type of rain slicker/cover to protect the camera from sand and salt air shooting on the beach.
the ewa bag seems to be great for in the water, and i would love to be able to use it out of the water on the beach as well but i would not be able to hook up an external shotgun mike, and the internal mike would be covered by the bag, so no audio. also can't lock it down on a tripod...so it seems i can only use this in the water.
out of the water i want good protection from the elements as well.
anyone have any experience with this type of product and/or advice for this type of shoot?
