Help!!! P2 card not downloading

I sent my HVX200 over to a friend overseas and he has a shoot this weekend and is having issues downloading what he has already shot. Here is his message to me: Every time I hook the camera up to the computer it says USB disconnect can anyone help me with this?

Tell him to try to find someone with a card reader. I've never tried to transfer cards from my VariCam's. I've only ever used Panasonic P2 card readers. I think you have to have some settings set properly in the camera in the PB menu.
 
I also seem to remember there's a setting in the menu that must be set correctly...but drawing a blank at the moment on where it was - but seems like there was a USB storage and then another option - so your friend may want to check that as well... sorry not able to be more specific
