Help! ...P2 adapter nightmare

Hi Guys,

I have a Dell Inspiron 1520 running Vista Home Premium.

I just got my Addonics adapter today, followed the intructions, watched the videos & downloaded the lastest drivers and P2 viewer and i just cannot get this thing to work at all. It sees the Panasonic P2 card in device manager but won't complete the driver installation. It comes up with "this device cannot start code 10" WTF??? I've searched Google, on here...everywhere.

I even tried installing it on my friends Dell 1520. It generated the same error.

I installed it on my LG with a PCMCIA slot and XP, The P2 card was recognized no problems. So the card and drivers work sweet.

Any help or suggestions would be extremely appreciated.

Regards,

Ben

Take your Vista install disk and bury it deep in your backyard.
Hopefully you have an old XP install disk floating about that you can use to reisnstall XP and actually use your peripherals

just my humble opinion...

Hi Mike,
Ben is on the money, Vista is like Mac's Leopard OS, just too advanced an OS, XP works on my Mac and sees PCMCIA card reader and P2 cards, But, Mac's leopard dosen't.
No doubt they will get their *#*# together in the future but in the meantime we will have to make do with what we have got.
