Help - on the set with new DVX ... Grainy

So we had our first day of shooting last night. It went real well, nice shot and i was happy with it for hte most part, but the footage is very grainy, and im not sure why. Shooting on F6 - 25PA manual everything, iris was set two stops up from lowest. The room was a medium sized living room, i used to lights (one omni one tota) bouncing both off walls, one bounced toward the couch, one bounced on the side, both difused with some gels. The lighting was flat (no ones faces light or anything) but it should have been adiquit light. But when we reviewed the footage it was pretty grainy. What is the reason for this? I had the contrast set pretty low but thats how i wanted it. Should I instead be putting the contrast higher and then lowering it in post? Will that make the image more crisp? Im not sure what to do... We start shooting again at 9pm tonight, so any help would be great. Thanks
 
Um the gamma and matrix are on default for F6... should i alter those from the orignal factory settings off of 24pA?
