Hi, so i just wanted someone who can clarify this for me before i go and spend my monies :D

Ok so, if i purchase this CoolLCD HD1 Field Monitor

Would i need these adapter's
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/5x-BNC-PLU...item27bd0bcd5a

So then i can plug in my Component Cable

And then it should all work fine? Also does anyone have experience with the CoolLCD HD1 Monitor? Is it any good?

I posted onto the Canon Topic but no one cared to respond.

Cheers!!!

What are you going to plug it into? Makes all the difference. The monitor you listed has three out of the four common ways to connect a camera; component, HDMI, and composite. The fourth way is via a SDI port. The last link you provided looks like a component to VGA type cable which would be something you would use for a computer connection and would not be a port commonly found on a video cam. Unless you are trying to link up something out of the ordinary, you are making this too hard.

The first two items will work together. The third will be dependant on your source device. If your source device does output component video using that lead you linked to, then it should work fine.

Also, don't forget a power source for the screen.

Hi thanks guys, i forgot to mention my camera is a Canon XHA1. And the last link is a D-Terminal Component Video Cable which will fit right at the back of my A1. As for the power source, I'm thinking of using a Sony F970 or a Sony F550 battery. Can't decide which one as the F550 is much cheaper

Your good to go on those for the XHA1. You'll want a couple of those 970's at least to keep you going. If you are extremely prudent and turn off the monitor whenever its not used for focus. set up etc .... No, Id still get two.
