Flew back home for Christmas and to shoot some footage for an ongoing doc and realized I didn't pack the diffusion to my rifa light. I have a half a day tomorrow to shop and figure something out. In Syracuse, ny so there's lowes or other hardware stores and all that to work with, but no lighting stores, a ritz camera I think. Any suggestions?

i 2nd the parchment sheets. resists the heat well...and u can keep adding sheets for more diffusion.

I also tested 'em out right up on a 500w worklight, basically touching the glass....and it started to steam a little...but when i touched (the paper) it was cool to touch. so no worries. I think it was from condensation.

Parchment paper sounds like the plan. Thanks for saving my butt. I was thinking that but thought it was called "wax" paper and that just seemed like a disaster. I will head to the store asap.

Parchment if clipping on w/c47s, otherwise, use the frosted shower curtain for a big soft source. All can be had from Walmart for under $5.

Walmart was a godsend for us on a remote West Virginia feature shoot.
