I'm trying to decide what editing software to get. I'm using a PC. I'm debating between Vegas and Premiere Pro, but I'm leaning toward Vegas due to people's comments on it being better than Premiere.
I'm also investigating the best color correction/post program. I like the looks of Magic Bullet, especially for the presets.
Here's what I want them for:
I'm going to shoot a "noir" type short in B&W...
...a gritty gangster piece with "Traffic" style handheld footage...
...and a sci-fi short with a bleached out, color reversal look using lots of "cools".
Which do you recommend? Also, any tips on nailing these looks as far as lighting, fliters, etc?
