Help on camera choice??

Hi to all who might be so kind as to helping me decide on what camera to buy.

I am filming short teasers for companies that will be put onto DVD and online for their marketing purposes.

My first choice is DVX 100b or a Canon A1? Second is a GL2 as I am not sure that they want HD or it is needed for my purposes.

It will mostly be action sports based so bearing the elements is key in whatever camera I buy.

Do I need HD or just SD?

I understand that the A1 does not do 720p, is this going to be a problem for web?

I am new to all of this so any advise would be greatly appreciated.

to do hd you need a computer that can handle hd as well. if no one is asking for hd from you go with the 100b.
 
Here's My Opinion...

The DVX100 is a sophisticated camera (Andy Starbuck)

It really is great... Great picture, and decent sound (id get a shot gun mic tho, or what ever kind of mic which depends on your work)

HD is nice, but for a starters camera, a dvx100b is def worth it. The gl2 is a nice camera, but with the dvx100b you have much more options, and control
