Help! No playback in DVX after using FCP

Last night I was using my DVX100A with FCP, which I've done may times before. Now, the camera's time code is stuck on zero and nothing plays back in VCR mode, even though the tape mechanism turns (this is happening independently of FCP - it's not connected to anything right now).

Any ideas? I'm desperate because I'm in the middle of a shoot with a timeline and no budget (and nowhere to rent a DVX100A locally anyway).

If you have a similar problem as what I had, click the link in my post above for more information. My problem seems to be fixed now. I'm just waiting on an answer to how to prevent it from happening again.
