We have shot about 1/3 of our film and before we dive into the rest of the shoot we need to know the bottom line on distribution and deliverables. We paid our actors and the contract reads they are only to get that compensation stated in the contract (non union). We owned the locations we shot on.
We will be doing SAG on the new shoot.
From what I've read it here it seems impossible to move forward or for that mater even bother trying unless you have 6 figures to blow. We don't have bundles of money to though at this. Nor should we if we can't follow though and have a product ready for sale.
We have money to shoot it but how much should we set aside to give us chance at getting distribution deal?
How much will it cost us to provide M&E deliverables?
How strict will distributors be with our contracts?
Should we contact distributors now?
