HELP NEEDED ASAP! FINAL CUT PRO/DVX 100B problem.

Ok, so I'm editing on a mac and final cut pro, that was previously being used to capture HD. I went to my audio/video settings in FCP and changed the capture preset and sequence to DV NTSC 48 KHZ, and switched to firewire. I can capture now, but Is that all I need to do or is there some other stuff too that I should go back and change?? I want the best picture possible. THANKS ALL.

Those are the only two things I could think of changing, other than maybe the DV out so you can color correct on a TV or production monitor. If you need to render anything immediately upon bringing it into the sequence, before applying any effects, then there's a setting somewhere that needs to be changed, and FCP will ask you if you want it to correct that setting for you. If not, you're good.
