Help. Missed FedEx

My film on DVD is ready to be distributed at a big event tomorrow in DC. I was asked on Sunday to make a trailer for it which I did. I have been working non stop on this. I and beat. My plan was to convert it into a DVD and FedEx it for a early morning delivery tomorrow morning. I ran out of time. What I could do is send it electronically if I only knew how to do it. I have seen some rather impressive videos here for downloading. How do I go about doing the same for my 4 1/2 minute trailer? I filmed it with a HVX at 720p @ 24fps My computer is a '06 G5 Quad Mac with FCP.

Thank you.

The best would be to convert it to a high bit-rate h.264 file, then post it to FTP for download if you have a site or know someone with space. On a mac, you can also enable websharing in System Preferences. Then anything you put in your Sites folder can be downloaded straight off your hard drive.

Yeah, with Vimeo too if the person on the other end has an account they can download the original file before it's been processed into flv. I think it has to be under 100MB though, which for a 4 and 1/2 minute trailer can be done.

there are other free "post for download" sites that allow up to several GB, making the file availalbe for several days or weeks.

You just got some kick-ass, life-saving advice dude... I didn't even need to read this thread and I'm glad I did... some stuff I wouldn't have even thought about... and I'm on a macbook... damn, thanks! I'm sure that will come in handy one day.

You can FTP an ISO image and they can burn the DVD at the conference. we sent some projects to China this way and they downloaded and burned the discs right on site.

The ISO will be huge but it can hold all the menus and nav functions if you need that.

how did it go

I just heard from the woman who presented the story to the Heritage Foundation in their conference today. The following speaker after her was Michael Horowitz from the Reagan Administration and he said that she was a tough act to follow after she presented (after her speech) the last 9 minutes of my film. Afterwards in everyone's packet was my DVD. My guess many there will want to see the first 15 minutes of this film on how this "train wreck" happened to happen. Only film can tell such a story.

Thanks everybody for your help!
