Help me train my ears!

As an indy filmmaker (but audio newbie), I'd like to thank everyone posting mic samples. It's been an invaluable learning tool. It actually took me a few days to decide that it may be worth it go for a 416 or an MKH60 instead of the cheaper 4073a. Also, after listening to the dvx shootout, I might rent a hard disk recorder instead of going to camera (although I'm interested in hearing the sound on the HVX200 when it comes out).

Now I need a good hypercardiod. I've heard the Schoeps MK41 is industry standard, but for whatever reason I swear I can't tell the difference between that and the $175 Oktava... in fact, when I do blind tests, I usually prefer the Oktava! What are my ears missing? To me it sounds slightly richer (wrong term?) than the schoeps. Is it noisier? I don't even know what I should be listening for.

Here's a wav and an MP3 of the test I'm listening to.

Thoughts and advice appreciated,

From personal experience, the Oktava is top-notch. At least with interiors it's warm and clean and worth way more than they charge
