I film guitar lessons for online delivery and dvd production, we work in a small studio. Every day we shoot, alot of time is wasted transferring footage from sd card (in camera) to the computer. Alot of footage is taken in a single take and transfering 20+gb stops me from editing until its done.
The cameras are stationary and sit no more than 5 feet from the computer. What can i use so the cameras record directly to the harddrives on the computer?
We record the audio directly to the computer with no issues and it would be a huge time saver to be able to do this with video.
Main camera is a Panasonic GH2, secondary camera is an entry level canon - both of them record to sd cards.
On another note, has anyone here worked with a workflow that brings 3 realtime recorded streams into a template on the computer forming a completed video as it is recorded? Very similar to a broadcast system.
Thanks
