Help me mimic this Origami Owl Thankful video

Hi all. I need to create about a dozen videos in a week or so. One of them needs to be similar to this Origami Owl video about being thankful: https://vimeo.com/80498899

This sounds dumb, but can you guys offer suggestions on how to match this as closely as possible? I can get close myself, but I'd like any extra help possible.

-Focal Length: Assuming a super 35mm sensor, what does this look like? Based on the "this camera is really close" kind of comments, I'm assuming 24mm or 35mm? My knee-jerk response to having to film a shot like that would be to reach for my 50mm or longer.

-Lighting: I like how it looks bright yet not very overexposed. Was it simply overexposed a bit in camera or a trick of the color grade? Also, any pointers on lighting? Was this simply run-n-gun, and use whatever light source was on hand (windows, etc?) Or some kind of soft light (kino, etc?)

While I'm not fond of this, it looks to have been shot with something like a 5DmkIII. If you look at the subjects eyes you can clearly see that lighting was used. If I had to guess I would say something along the lines of a Litepanels 1x1 being the portable choice as the main key. My advice…. forget about what gear they used, and concentrate on what gear you have available. TEST in advance so you know where your talent needs to be in relationship to your camera and the distance from the background in order to replicate this look with your available gear.

All the Best!

Dave
