No matter how many times I buy a new computer, or how many times I switch the internal DVD drive or add an external one. No matter what I do, I always seem to have DVD burning issues. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I am constantly trying new DVDs (plus, minus, both, cheap, expensive) and it doesn't seem to matter. I think I may be cursed.
In my newest HP duo-core 4 gb of ram machine, I have tried to use THREE seperate burning programs. All have failed. The files I'm putting on them are basic .avi files. The first program I use is Windows DVD Maker. Strangely, it gets all the way to the 99% point, and then says the burn failed. So I tried Nero (whichever module is used to burn avi files) and the SAME thing happens. It gets all the way to the end and then says it fails. So I tried Sony DVD Architect. That actually "succeeds" (at least that's what the program tells me), but when I try to put it in my XBOX 360 or my HD-DVD player, neither one can recognize it. UGH! What's going on????
And please, no HD-DVD jokes. I'm already depressed.
