I remember when I was a young lad in Minnesota - I saw something... something wonderful!

It was a movie about cavemen (and women) and actually focused on the life of a young female cave dweller, whos name I cannot remember. Anyways, it was really interesting because it dealt with how they functioned as a society and moved together in a pack, I remember the old and the slow were left behind eventually when a new leader or "alpha male" came to power.

The really cool thing is they all spoke this prehistoric language, it wasn't quite like anything I've ever heard before - but it had a touch of the romance languages in it, but it WAS NOT a language. Which is cool because the actors knew the feeling of the scene and what was going on, and sort of just ad libbed random words, then subtitles would come in with the english translation. It was really cool.

Anybody know what I'm talking about?

Nah.....you're probably talking about La Guerre du Feu / Quest for Fire (depending on whether you watched the French made-up-language-version or the English dub of it.)

quest for fire was great i laugh thru the whole movie rae dawn chong? licking some guy who got bitten in the groin then his reactions.... was that the first oral sex ever recorded? and the wooly mammoths become mans best friend?and i thought it was the dog?everybody was shhhhhushing me to shutup.i went with some intellectual people trying to see more in the movie than it was. needless to say they never asked me to see a movie with them again
 
oh there's a movie called WHEN WOMEN LOST THEIR TAILS i saw it at a drive in ,in Fla. its a caveman movie i laugh so hard.1974 it's about a group of cavemen that are nomads hunting,and foraging then they sit down and theyr'e bored so one of them says lets laugh and so they do,then he says lets cry ,they do. they get bored,then they realize we have no woman but they look at one guy and he's sitting crossedlegged sewing his fur clothing hmmmm sure act like woman , walk like woman,hair like woman next scene you see them running after him. aw man it was funny.its probably stupid now but i still remember it. and it wasn't monty python

A high school history teacher I had showed us HOTW,P1 and we had to pick out the inaccuracies. :thumbsup: He was cool.

Of course, he got fired when he let us watch Goodfellas, but it was fun while it lasted.
