thanx mikko.

Alexa, any Idea what kind of lighting kit i can buy again for weddings, commercials?

what do you think about the arri kits?

For commercial work, well, you can totally knock yourself out on lights. It depends on how big your subject focus is..are you doing headshot type-talking head stuff, product, full-length people, full-scene? think about that- arri kits..not sure about a full kit unless you are going all-out from the start. I have a few arris but I picked them up bit by bit. I know lots of people like the kits though, but there are cheaper ways to get a kit going.

you don't really need a lighting kit for your weddings. it just gets in the way and takes too much time to set up. get some decent on-camera lighting and you'll be fine. search "on camera lighting" or something like that. pag6? frezzi, sony hvl etc.

Ash you are right about the 35mm adaptor, I was referring to the redrock m2 though. Yes i know It requires all that gear and I also know it requires manual focusing with a follow focus. I also was mainly thinking to use this for short films and commercials in controlled environment.

I was silly in thinking I can use this for wedding.

Also guys with regards to wedding, I will shoot a lot of indian wedding where they have a stage in which the bride and groom sit for along time, I have seen allot of videogrophers use lighting kits to light that up and have a mobile light on their camera also.

any idea on a handheld stabilizer which will fly the hvx/cineporter??

Thanx guys your feedback is helping me to make my mind up.

I guess it would depend on how much of a presence you feel like making in that very sacred day. Also depends on how much of a presence they want you to be. I would want to NOT notice the camera at all if it were my ceremony

Indian weddings can be long, yes. maybe try 2 tota lights with umbrellas? cheapest way to go and then you get a lot of light. buy some big umbrellas, i forget the size, if you want a lot of light spread.
