HELP! Is anyone ingesting AF100 Footage into FCP X???

PLEASE, please tell me there's no issue with ingesting AVCHD footage into FCP X.
Not another plugin! First it's 7toX to even get FCP7 files into X and now camera footage???

It works just fine, though you can't just drop the .mts files into the event. Instead, click on the import from camera button, and open from the SD card. The thumbnails will show up and you can simply select the clips you want to add to the event.

Another way to do this is to "Open Archive" from the folder containing ALL of the files from the SD card (DCIM, MISC, PRIVATE). So I would create a new folder called "Card 1" or whatever, and then copy the folders from the SD card into that. This is my method of archiving entire cards from shoots.

Cheers, man. Got it. How about bringing MP-4 files. Is that possible as well? Can't seem to get round that one.

I imported files I think. My head is scrambled. The same treatment as an MP3.
This way anything I did in FCP 7 where some plugins were available I was still able to use the finished (fcp7 effects) product in X without having to edit in 7

Yes, I'd Optimize all MPEG files anyway. Just makes things faster all around.
