HELP! Insert Edit Troubles...

I'm hoping someone can help me with this one. Whenever I insert a clip, it cuts through any audio I have on tracks 3-4, 5-6, etc. Then I have to re-edit the audio. Is this normal?

Do you mean that it pushes the audio over to make room for the insert?
Just lock the audio tracks first.

I'm pretty sure you can also hold down the SHIFT or OPTION key while you're dragging. But locking the tracks is the best way.
