HELP: how to get money back from eBay/paypal scam

Update:

Because this is a high ticket item....its been a more drawn out process than expected though eBay. They said that my refund is in limbo and I have been transferred to a few different departments. They said it needs to be a manual process due to various reasons. I called them 2 days ago (wed) and the rep said it was no problem and that I would get an email in 10 min regarding the refund.

At that point, I did not get the email and had radio silence for 2 days. I just called and they send me to another department who said that things are still up in the air and that they would need 3 days to process. At that point a refund "should" be issued.

Really hope this works out...what a stressful situation.

... I just blocked his emails. They will be automatically deleted so I probably won't know if he sends any more.
Hmm. What's the point of deleting his emails without reading them? I can't see the harm in reading what he writes, even if we all know it's a load of BS.
Anyway...I'm glad you canceled this transaction and are working with eBay to get your money back. What a hassle!

LAST UPDATE:

So this fellow tried to send me all kinds of things outside of eBay. I even got fake eBay notifications asking me to cancel the claim and it was part of the process....ect. Then I started getting fake Paypal notifications saying that I needed to do certain things. I just ignored everything.

Ebay came through! Pulled all the funds out of this guys account and refunded me. Thank goodness for that.

So, the lesson learned here:

1.) Buying used is not always worth it.
2.) Don't just check their feedback score and number of items sold....look at the actual items sold and see if it makes sense.
3.) having an eBay account for 3-5 years and a good feedback score means nothing.
4.) Because something is advertised as being shipped in the US...does not mean it does actually come from the US.
5.) Ebay doesn't care if its shipped from where it says it should be shipped from.
6.) Even people that preach whole heartedly can be full of absolute s$&t....so be careful.
7.) If your gonna buy a high ticket item....dont ever make a move until you have checked everything.

My situation worked out well because I did it by the books. These types of people are good at what they do. They have fake websites, fake companies, fake emails, fake everything....they wrap it all up to you with a wholesome smile on their face. They play to your niceness....and the whole time just want the dollars in your wallet. They are cowards. They are weak and pathetic. In the end, those decisions will leave them empty and unwanted by the world around them. So all of those efforts are to their own demise....though they are too stupid and ignorant to see it.

To all the honest people in the world, don't lose faith in that....but be careful. Very very careful.

Glad to see/hear it has finally worked out for you......and I'd add some things that I have learned over the last 16 years dealing with retail at our pro video level:
1) you never get something for nothing (my HS physics teacher said this often and it applies often).
2) Many Amazon & Ebay sellers are actually grey market dealers in NYC and Crooklyn who always are pulling something
3) We do move slow moving or used equipment (rental stock) on Ebay so there are legit sellers out there but they are easily identified when you click on their info.
4) the rest you have already mentioned......"There is NO FREE LUNCH!"
