Hello,

I recorded a video by HVX200a and Firestore. I used p2 format in forestore (DVCPROHD) and 1080i60 mode on the camera. My problem now is create a dvd (NO HD-DVD). I had never done it, is the first time that I edit hd movies.

I follow this instrucctions: http://www.bellunevideo.com/tutvideo.php?tutid=10

but I dont think that it was correct for me, because y burn my final DVD using Encore (with avi movies) but in this tutorial the final video is MPG2-DVD (the product from media encore are two files: one video and one audio, i dont know how work with these files to create a dvd, I always use avi files) I dont know how import this format on Encore CS4. Also, my final result is not to good. I used premiere cs4.

I would like to know how you work these kind of videos and What is the best option to convert HD to SD? If is possible, using Premiere cs4

Thanks

p.d. Sorry for my english, it is not my mothe tongue.

If you also have After Effects, I've found this method to be quite helpful...

As for the tutorial you linked to, remember that the file format stored on the DVD is MPG2-DVD. If you use AVI files, Encore has to convert it to MPG2-DVD. When dealing with converting HD footage to SD for DVD, Encore really doesn't do that good of a job. All the tutorial you linked to does is provide a better way of converting it (though I think the link I provided does an even better job, since I've tried both).

As far as the two different files, it's no different than the AVI you're used to working with. Simply import both, put them in the timeline in Encore and line them up with each other.
