Edit: I was able to import the project into after effects, and render from there, but I'm still interested in finding out what happened, so if you know, please answer below. Thanks!
OK, normally I don't freak out about stuff, but this is one of those times where you put so much effort into finishing something, and at the last minute you get thrown a curve ball, and arg!!!!
I shot some footage for the Philip Bloom Kessler Crane competition on my hfs100 in 24P (which is wrapped in a 60i wrapper). I took the footage into my computer running XP, and used cineform neoscene to create editable files that were 24P. I didn't have neoscene on my win7 computer, but was going to do the edit there, so I loaded the trial version of cineform to get the codecs, and started editing.
I noticed something weird in premiere: When I am paused on the timeline, the video has white horizontal lines every other line, which I thought was some sort of interlacing problem, which was weird, because this is a 24p video in a 24p project. When I play the video in premiere, the white lines go away and it looks fine. When I exported out a final edit, the white lines are there (even though you don't see them when playing in premiere).
Now, in trying to fix the problem, I finally decided that I had enough time to just recopy the footage and try just using the AVCHD files, but now, for some reason, my SDHC card is corrupted and the original files are lost.
SOOOOOOO, can someone suggest to me what to do to try to get the white lines to go away from my project in premiere? I just don't know this stuff well enough to figure it out, and the contest ends today at 5PM (2 hours from now). I'll take any suggestions!
