Help finding a cheap composer

So I've decided I want to look into getting an original score for the short I'm working on. This is my first serious project and I've learned a huge amount from it, and put a lot of time into it as well. So far, it's been made essentially without spending anything (apart from equipment). I realize I'm not going to get a soundtrack free, but I don't quite have the money to pay regular rates.

Do you think it's feasible to get a soundtrack for a 10 minute short done for around $100-$200? Anyone who could do it? I found this thread and I'm planning on contacting some of them, but do you think I could get anyone to help me out for that little?

Any advice you can give would be great. I'd rather not be forced to search for royalty-free music to throw in, or stick with licensed stuff and never be able to do anything with the film.

I've seen a lot of composers offering their services for free, so I think paying someone 100-200 to score a 10 minute short is absolutely feasible. Most likely it would still be digital instruments though, as I doubt anyone can assemble an orchestra to play (and record said orchestra) for that rate.. but given the right tools even a digital performance can sound downright amazing. Just take a listen to some of the sample tracks from programs like Reason, and you'll see what I mean. ;)

Do you have some sample clips of your film?

I haven't done enough post sound work and image correction for it to be presentable yet, but I could throw something together if someone were considering scoring it.

I'm in grade 11, and although I think this is very good for my age, I'm really hoping that someone will help a kid get off to a good start with his first movie.

Get a down and dirty demo reel put together for it and PM me and I can see if one of the guys out here is interested.

Cruise some composer sites (Google Hanz Zimmer or Cubase)

There are tons of composers that will do it for free; copy and credit, experience and exposure.
