HELP Final Cut Studio WONT OPEN

this is the issues i have searched this forum and found nothing that can help me. I just got FCP Studio from simply computing in vancouver and i installed it and did all that easy stuff and IT WONT WORK. i have a Macbook pro 2gig Intel with 1.5gig of ram which is plenty for FCP 5.1 to run. All that happens for any of the programs in the package is it Bounces about twice on my bar then just disappears. What TO DO ? Has this happened to anyone? Simply Comp told me to call Apple which i thought was very bad customer service after all i just spent $5000 at the store. Get this FCP will work but only if i use it with rosetta but that just bogs the comp down and makes having the intel duo useless. I am takeing everything back to them for it to be fixed until then any suggestions will be great.

Coupla thing... first, repair your permissions... Applications folder/Utilities/Disk Utility... repair permissions on the boot drive

do that twice.

Then restart

Does that help?
 
Did you install it in your root Applications folder and then NOT move it to another folder?

It MUST be in the root applications folder.

FCP 5.1 is Universal Binary version right? So then you wouldn't need to run it through Rosetta. It should just work. The only thing I can think of is to reinstall it. Make sure it installs into the Applications folder, and don't move it from there.
