HELP!! Exporting hell...

I'm trying to export my sequence onto a Sony DSR 11 deck that I rented and I'm not getting any audio and the picture is garbled. I keep trying different settings but nothing seems to make a difference. This is the second deck I've tried. I used another deck 2 weeks ago - it was a clam shell type deck it it worked perfectly... I'm using firewire...

Any suggestions???
 
List some of your settings and how you are exporting. List what you tried. Did you convert the movie on some way? etc?
 
sequence preset DV NTSC 48 Khz
Capture - same
Device control - Firewire NTSC (have used firewire basic as well)
Video Playback - Apple Firewire NTSC 720 x 480
Audio - Firewire DV

A/V devices:
Apple Firewire NTSC 720 x 480
Audio - Firewire DV

not checked (different output)

Now I can't even hear any audio when I playpack my sequence. The computer recognizes the deck, and is importing clips fine.
 
Buyilt in audio means it will play on the computer, not what you want.

Check your firewire cable and connections. Switch it if you have another one.
I assume deck is NTSC as well and that it's all set up for firewire input?
