Distribtion Company has asked me to deliver the film in any one of these formats:

Betacam SP/SX
DVCam Pro Mini
Digital Beta
S-VHS tapes.

They're going to put it on the web, so I'm slightly confused as to why they are specifically asking for some of those formats, but anyway.

Which is the best format to transfer my 1080P HVX 25 fps footage to and which settings are best to do it?

A facilities company is going to do the actual transfer to the stock, but I want to export my film to a hard drive to give to them.

What should i export it as and how do I do it?

I'm using Final Cut Studio 2.

Cheers, Rick.

All of the above formats ONLY do Standard Def interlaced. Of course, for web streaming that is fine.

It would be better to ask them what streaming format they want for the web, and then encode the video yourself. Every site now uses Flash Video, the best pic for smaller files. I use FlixPro, the best Flash encoder around.

Sending them a harddrive is even better if they want to do their own encoding.

I've already asked them about sending the file in another format. They only want one of those that I've mentioned.

I'm sure they have their reasons.

So, bearing that in mind, what's my best line of attack?

I'd get in touch with a post house because you need downconversion and output to tape. Different places have different methods of assuring the best look.
