HELP! Digitized 24fps at HDV 1080i60 and getting ghost frames in AE. HELP!

Hey guys,

Quick question. I imported footage that I shot on a Canon XH-A1 at HDV 1080i60 when I should have at 1080i24fps.

My editing timebase reads 29.97. Is there anyway I can make this footage to 24fps for use in AfterEffects without re-digitizing it at 1080i24fps?

Most of the NLE's should be able to remove the pulldown though that maybe only at capture. Have you tried importing the 60i footage into a 24p project in an NLE?

Also, After Effects under "interpret footage" (right-click on footage) should have an option to detect pulldown which should allow you to remove the pulldown.

Another option would be a program like DVFilm Maker where you can process it through and remove the pulldown.
