Help choosing line out (DR 70D) to XLR in (camera)

Trying to find the correct cable to go out from the tascam dr 70d to the XLR on my camera. My camera doesn't have a mini line in, only XLR in.
Also, what audio channel(s) does the dr 70d output or does it mix the channels and send them all line out?

What camera?
What are you trying to do?
How many channels are you recording?

Yes, the DR-70D mixes whatever inputs you are using (not revealed) down to stereo mix output.
The output connector is labeled "LINE OUT". We must assume that is accurate.

If the DR-70D has a 3.5mm stereo mini-phone output, and you need to connect to two XLR inputs then you need a "stereo breakout" cable like this...

You would need an 3.5mm TRS to XLR wired in an unbalanced config. The tip and ring terminals of the mini-plug would likely need to be tied together if just using one XLR input. Normally in an unbalanced config., XLR pin-3 is tied to Pin-1 (shield/ground); pin-2 is signal. The line output on the recorder would likely a little low for a +4dB input so using the Mic level mini-plug out to mic level in would be better. The camera's Phantom Pwr. MUST be off for that input channel

"What audio channel(s) does the dr 70d output[/I]"?... I don't know for sure, but most other multi-track Tascams'; have an internal software mixer to adj. the HP and other outputs... read the manual

"What camera?" Different cameras, but frequently Panasonic HMC150 or Sony NEX EA50u
"What are you trying to do?" I want to send an audio feed out from the recorder to a camera for post sync and also for an emergency backup in case the Tascam fails.
"How many channels are you recording?" Could be one channel from a boom mic, but on other jobs could be 2-4 lav mics from a group interview

From the tascam spec page it reads, "Line output and headphones output with individual level controls (3.5-mm jack)"

Thank you both. I know you guys know a lot and was hoping you'd chime in. I'm also taking a look at the online manual

That 70D manual is pretty sparse.. at least the English section; 20 pages.
I would assume the output level controls' just that, the output volume, certainly useful though. I don't see any internal track mixer stated in the manual.. strange, many of the other DR series Tascams have it. (40, 60, 100, 680, ect.) Maybe someone who actually uses one can enlighten us.
