Help Choosing Correct Satchler Tripod for HVX200

Hello Everyone,

I've narrowed down my Tripod search to Satchler Tripods but now I am having a hard time choosing which tripod to purchase.

Here's the setup:

Panasonic HVX200
RedRock Cinema Lens Adapter (w/stepdown adapters)
RedRock MatteBox
RedRock Micropod
Nikon 50mm Lens
Marshall HD Monitor
Firestore FS-100
IVX Endura 7 Battery
2 Senheiser Wireless Receiver's
2 Noga Arms

I was almost set on the DV6 SB:

but I feel with all that equipment it might be a better idea to get step up the DV8 SB:

Is it really worth the almost $700 Extra though? Could I get by with the DV6 or is it not worth the risk? Obviously this purchase is going to be for the long run so I want to make sure I get it right the first time.

Any input or suggestions is GREATLY appreciated.

Thank you!!

I own a DV6 and use it with a similar setup, in addition, I have the Panny monitor which is even heavier. The Dv6 performs beautifully. That said, if its in your budget, I'd always go for future-proofing your purchase. $700 isn't a small amount, but down the road you may be really happy you don't have to replace the tripod in addition to the camera.
Good luck,
Mike

Thanks for the help guys! I appreciate it.

I ended up ordering the DV6 with the thinking that if it can't hold the weight I will send it back . I haven't been on a shoot yet but I got it today and seems to be more than strong enough. I am very pleased so far.

Hi Freeze:

I own a full Letus Extreme setup and with batteries and 2 P2 cards, my rig is about 18lbs. I would go for the larger head. I have the DV 6SB and it works but barely. Always get the bigger head so you have some breathing room.
