Just wondering if anyone has bought there Cameras from www.royalcamera.com ?
I found a panasonic AG-DVX-100a for 1, 629.00. the price seems to good to be true. Is this some kinda of scam?

Anyone had any bad experiences buying online?
Im a bit skeptical.

They'll give you a call to comfirm your order and tell you that it doesnt come with any accesories and say you will have to pay for them, extra. They will tell you that the camera is out of stock and that they have another one in stock but its $1000 more or you can wait for the "other" which will never come. Some of those companies charge your card $75 or a precentage of the total cost for the cancellation. I say stay away.

STAY CLEAR. These guys are nasty. They are predators. They are Bait n' Switch artists. Listen to crayolamarker. he/she is right. If you want to double check an on-line dealer go to resellerratings.com. There is a pretty comprehensive list of on-line retailers with their rankings.

It is a complete scam. Read this post: http://www.dvxuser.com/V3/showthread.php?t=10707

The odds of you getting the camera for that price are 0/1000000000.

Essentially you will have to call them, but all the things that come with the camera (battery, remote, LENS). At that point you will have to give them your credit card. They will never send the camera. Or they will make you buy tons of accessories.

I know the price seems great, but look around, for $1500 you should be able to get a used dvx100. It aint gonna happen.

Then again, if you wanna move forward with it, I got some lotto tickets from yesterdays powerball I can sell you

Thanks everyone for the replies. I almost made a hudge mistake. It's scarey to purchase things like this over the internet.

It can be scary, or it can be painless. Choose a vendor like EVS, B&H, Abel Cine Tech or Birns & Sawyer, and it will be effortless, easy, and safe.

But if you go for the "lowest price", you'll be easy bait for the scammers, liars and thieves out there. Stick with authorized dealers and you'll have much more safety in your transaction.

What I'd like to do is walk in - and do it in person with them for 1600 - theyd probably say something like "oh you need the accessories, thats another 1600" then I say ok

Then when they bring it out, say, "Oh, actually I don't want the accessories, I'll just take it for 1600" and just bs them... I know it wouldn't do anything, but... it'd be fun...

Wow that was a badly written and thought out post

I almost got to do that, but the guy was trying to scam me. First he said he lived like 2 hours away so I told him that i'll stop by and he changed his story saying he was on vacation at the moment in england. I told him I would wait for him to come back and then he said he lived in england. I almost called my friends up that live there and go to his house.

Don't be surprised if liars lie to you -- that's what they do, after all. It's what they're good at.

They'll never let you walk in and pick it up at that price; every one of the scam shops say that those advertised prices are "web only".

Plus, just look at their storefronts -- are you sure you WANT to walk in there?
