I am in some big ****. So, I am sure you know this story... so ****ing sad too (sorry for the lang. but i'm pretty pissed)

so... I've got my dvx on a tripod, and it's about 1-1 1/2 ft. off the ground, and I'm setting up a dolly track (everyone else in my class crew is just standing around w/ their thumbs in their asses) ... a good gust of wind comes by, and knocks the cam over onto the ground still on the tripod... LUCKILY, the directional MIC holder, and the padded handle for where your hand goes pretty much took the hit, and the only scratch the cam got was a minor nick on the plastic piece of the mic holder.

I turn around to mouth "you've got to be F***ing kidding me?" to see it lying on the ground.

When i turn it on, i see an image, the iris opens up, it get a clear picture, and then It immediately turns BLUE and Flashes "AUTO OFF CYLINDER LOCK"

there is nothing for this in my manual... but, I don't know what to do and I have 2 days of shooting tomorrow and the day after... oh yeah, and this is the FIRST Fing TIME I"VE USED MY CAM SINCE I GOT IT FOR X-MAS...

I'm so worried I feel like throwing up everywhere... this sucks.. Please Someone help me out.

stupid question but have you tried using it since this incident??

i had my dvx-100a on my crane and i was playing around doing some weird movements and then all of a sudden i got that error and freaked out, the warranty had run out like 3 weeks before!

then i shut it off and when i turned it back on it was fine and has been used 6 or 7 hours since then no problem

a good tech probably has run into this error and wouldn't charge you much if its just labor and no parts.

You might be lucky and get away with a popped connector. If the error persists, get it serviced. I don't think there's anything actually broken, these cameras are quite sturdy. Good luck...

I need to know where to find the certified Panasonic techs in the U.S. if you guys could help, I'd be greatly appreciative.
