HELP!Anamorphic won't come off(even w screw tight)

Please help!

Bought the AG-LA7200G (panasonic 16:9). Used it for days with no problem.

Had to buy a second one for reasons I won't get into. Put it on the camera - and surprise! Won't come off. It just spins and spins. Now, I know this is common, and you have to tighten the screw on the side of the lens. I did. It still just spun - with more resistance, but STILL wouldn't come off.

What the h**l is going on? This is a brand new camera and a brand new lens, and I need to shoot with and without the adapter - please help me!

you cant do it by yourself. ive heard this before, the threads are broken because it was locked on too tight. i think people have taken it to professional repairs or warranty.

tighten the screw more.. use a towell under your fingers and tighten it good, then it will come off, and when you put it on dont tighten it so much again.

Thanks guys, but Michael you are right. It's busted. The DVX100 is intact (thank god) but that stupid little locking screw on the 16:9 is wasted. Weak link on the 800$ chain.

ZGC just walked me through getting it off my camera, and man those guys are awesome. Sounds like they're gonna replace it for free no hassle even though I just TOLD them that I basically broke it. ZGC.com, baby.

yep ive heard this on msg boards a good 4 or 5 times now, makes me wonder how many people are having this problem.
