Help ... anamorphic DV export problems

Please someone help, I'm working on an anamorphic 16x9 timline in FCP HD, and I try to export a final cut pro movie and it exports in 4x3 even though i chose the DV anamorphic option. Why does this happen?

Note: I've exported like this before, and it gives me a 16x9 image with black bars to fit a 4x3 window, which is fine, how do i get this back?

What is the best way to export anamorphic from FCP?

If this is just a master copy of your film, aimed to sit on your hard drive, then whenever needed put back into final cut to make dvd, print to tape etc.:

All you have to do is reflag it as anamorphic when you import it back into final cut and it's back as an anamorphic clip.(this has been my experience when exporting final cut movies)

Hope that helps. If you are using this movie to make internet versions using a program like cleaner or sorenson: once you import the movie into the program, merely change the aspect ratio to 16by9 and it will unsqueeze it to the right ratio.

If you want a matted 4x3 version, you need to put your movie into a 4x3 timeline, render it, then export. It'll make it 16x9 matted in a 4x3d ratio.
