HELP - AE/FCP Frame Rate Problem

Hi, I am having a problem with 60i. I filmed 60i to use in a 24p project so I could slow it down 40% and make it a smooth slow motion. It works fine when I use the 60i file in FCP and slow it down. But I need to add some things to it in AE and I dont know how to import for 60i, or export so that the 60 interlced fields will be unaffected. In these grabs you will see that all the clips have been slowed down 40% in FCP, the original is great, not touched by AE,the others look horrible

I imported one 60i file into AE at 29.97 as someone had told me to do, as well as one for 30fps, and exported it, then brought it into FCP and slowed it down 40%, and this is what happened.

Any suggestions will really help, I really have to do work on it in AE, but I dont want to compromise the smooth slow motion I get with the original file.

Consider slowing down in AE. It should be able to be just as good (and probably better) than FCP. As always turn on field blending.

60i = 29.97 frames per second. Check the clip when it's imported in the AE bin. It should say 29.97 (assuming it's been exported correctly)
Make the comp this same exact speed and size and render output with the same setting.

Scottdvx100, Ill give the slowdown a try in AE, mayb that will be the solution - Ill post a grab of the results

also.......how do I go about changing the speed......I messed with the time options under effects, and I think its one of those effects, but Im still a newbie when it comes to AE
