Help! Adobe CS3 License stopped working

Hey Everyone.

My Adobe CS3 suite has completed shut down. When I try to run any of the
programs (Premiere, Photoshop, AE, etc), I get the following message:

Licensing for this product has stopped working. You cannot use the
product at this time. You must repair the problem by uninstalling and
then reinstalling the product or contacting your IT administrator or
Adobe Customer support for help.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling. Same message
I downloaded the License Recovery application from Adobe. Same message

Wow. I never thought this was possible. There is no technical support from Adobe over the weekend, so I'm really screwed. I'm hoping that someone here has had similar problems and can offer some emergency suggestions.

I've never had any piece of software that wouldn't work after re-installing it. It is making me question using Adobe products.

My deadline is Monday, so if anyone can suggest a fix tonight or tomorrow (Sunday) morning I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks in advance.

Peter

I seem to be in the minority with this problem.

When I find out the solution from Adobe, I will post it here. For anyone who relies on Adobe software for their livelihood, this issue/problem/bug will stop you dead in your tracks.

Let me repeat that. Stop you dead in your tracks. Productivity zero. If a deadline = a mortgage payment, you've had it.

It's amazing how much I rely on Adobe. If the answer isn't simple, I'm going to start reconsidering my whole workflow.

Another revelation is that Adobe does not have 24/7 tech support. I was shocked. According to customer service, which is open on the weekends go figure, you can't even by the service. I'd like to know for other users what the tech support is like with Final Cut and Avid. I'm assuming (with Avid at least) that it's 24/7.

Do you have a system restore point you could fall back on? or backup image of your system?

Just a long shot but if you're on a newer PC OS, you might try running CS4 in compatibity mode (right-click CS4) or starting OS in Safe Mode . Doubt it will help but always worth the college try...

If all else fails, delete the adobe registrationg cache file and then it will ask you for your key again and voila, fixed, i had this with cs4 but i'm not 100% sure where the file is on cs3
