Help! A White backgrounds?????

It's 2 in the morning and I can't figure out how to make a white background in the timeline, not for a title. I've got a logo that's white and it only takes up half the screen. The rest of the screen is black...How do I change it so the background is white? I've got the D.S. Eagle book but I can't find it in there. Thanks for any help!!
 
No problem.
Insert a solid color from your media generators tab, and change the color to white, I think there is even a white preset. Put this in the track underneath your logo, and voila, white background.
 
I've heard media generators can take additional time to render ... not sure if it's true or not, so anytime I need a solid background color, I just insert a text event, erase the text, then go to properties & crank up the opacity & select whatever color I want (in your case, white).

Then, like scharky said, drop it on the track underneath your logo. Just a matter of choosing between a media generated item, or using a text event.

I think Jubal's said it best, that the great thing with Vegas is there's a TON of different ways to do the same thing ... no one size fits all.
