Sorry for posting this here but I went to the Adobe website and opened a case at "Ask Adobe Support". I did this 10-29-08 with an immediate apply that someone will get back to me in 24 hours, by 11-3-08 i haven't heard from them so I updated my case with a "hello?". Still haven't heard, so I opened a new case with the same question 11-5-08. Till today, still no answer. It's not a terrible ergant question but I would be worried if it was.

Anyone know a way of getting Adobe to answer your questions besides calling? Sometimes I don't have time to be on the phone for an hour for a quick question.

If interested here was my question-

I have footage that was recorded with AVC-Intro Codec and this seems to have many issues with After Effects. Once example is that the audio won't import. I am inquiring if Adobe has an upgrade download that will all AE to play nice with this codec?

I've posted this multiple times on here, but you should export out to a different codec for work in AE. I use ProRes as my working codec because of the space savings, 10 bit, and visually lossless compression. There's also Animation or QT PNG which are both viable options. Working in AVC, HDV, MPEG4, H264, or any of those other capture/delivery codecs isn't a good workflow in AE.
