Hi all,

Thought I'd sign up here as I've just acquired a DVX100A. It was destined for the bin eventually as it has a couple of faults and I rescued it (I'll start a thread all about that shortly).

Hailing from Edinburgh, I'm a hacker of technology and love to mess around with all things computer related, electronics, audio and visual. At the same time I'm also a photographer and videographer. My day job(s) consist of freelancing in the film/TV industry doing a variety of mostly technical things - from IT and edting to camera assisting or operating, as well as simply just being a crew van driver, depending on the shoot :). When I'm not doing that I'm a sysadmin, and also occasionally repair electronic firework firing systems.

Cheers,

Rob

Hey, nice to hear from you Rob. I live and work in Edinburgh too, doing much the same as you describe! I always loved the look of the DVX, glad you've managed to resurrect one!

Well how about that :). Also, it's not quite resurrected yet - see my rather long post in the Technical section. I'll keep it updated as to how I get on.
